Welcome to Ember & Oak Therapy Co.

Ember & Oak Therapy Co. is a warm, earthy, and deeply rooted therapy practice for women, men, and couples moving through life’s tender thresholds: pregnancy, postpartum, parenthood, sex and intimacy, midlife, and the evolving landscape of relationships as they take different shapes over time.

Our Therapeutic Approach

Our work is depth-oriented, relational, and deeply human. It is rooted in experiential and humanistic psychotherapy, and integrates somatic awareness, parts work, imagery, mindfulness, feminist and systemic perspectives, and intuitive ways of knowing.

Together, we may slow down and listen to the wisdom of your body, tend to both grief and joy, and make space for what is emerging in your life. Our work may include emotional processing, parts work, body awareness, reflection, and at times, creative, nature-based, archetypal ways of exploring meaning.

Hannah and Jen’s partnership in Ember&Oak holds a wide arc of the human experience, supporting individuals and couples from the threshold of pre-parenthood through postpartum, midlife, and into the deeper, often unnamed seasons of aging and becoming.

There is a natural generational rhythm between us that we value deeply. It allows us to bring perspective from different life stages while staying rooted in shared presence and care. We find meaning in the ways connection and wisdom emerge across time; how insight is not owned by any one season of life, but gathered, layered, and lived into.

Meet the Team

Ember

Ember speaks to the quiet, enduring emotional life within us; the part that remains alive even through hardship, disconnection, and change. It carries warmth, memory, and the possibility of rekindling connection with ourselves and with those we love. Even in seasons that feel uncertain or dim, something within us remains alive and capable of being gently reawakened.

Oak

Oak represents strength, wisdom, rootedness, and resilience. Like the oak tree, healing is not rushed, but it is tended to with curiosity and patience. It unfolds over time through experience, loss, learning, connection, and the emergence of new ways of relating to ourselves. The oak reminds us that even through life’s changing seasons, there is something steady within us that can hold and endure.
